Ali Shore Hansen
Owner | Manager | Lead Teacher, RYT-200

"I have been practicing yoga since 2005 when I opted to take yoga in lieu of P.E.. I enjoyed the physical benefits and continued to use yoga as a supplemental workout to running, ballet, weight lifting and hiking. Throughout college, I bounced around from studio to studio trying out every style. During my Masters program, I began to see the spiritual, mental, and emotional difference that yoga had brought into my life and my work with families and their children at-risk for Developmental Delay & Disability.

By 2011, I had a rigorous daily yoga practice. I eventually took the leap and completed my RYT-200(Hatha with Anusara influence). I love introducing people to yoga, meditation, and breathwork; breaking away from stereotypes and allowing people to see yoga through their own eyes. The benefits are endless and I enjoy being a catalyst through which each individual finds whatever they're looking for on and off the mat-- it is your practice, so it should look like you- not me! My goal is to always support my clients and students in the way that they need."

**Currently getting  another RYT-200 in Kundalini Yoga (as taught by Yogi Bhajan)

Michele Murphy

Assistant Manager / Community Liaison, RYT-200, Yoga Pulse Teacher

Michele's love for yoga started in 2005 when she needed a PE credit in college so she signed up for yoga and fell in love.  She practiced Iyengar yoga for about 2 years and then stopped practicing for about 7 years.  After having a child and going through a divorce, she felt very lost.  Michele began practicing yoga again to get connected and grounded.  She instantly picked up where she had left off and fell in love with the practice again.  Michele started a daily practice in Ashtanga and Vinyasa Flow.  She submitted a picture for a yoga contest to win a yoga teacher training in Thailand.  She won the contest and completed her 200 hour teacher training with Kosta at Vikasa Yoga in Thailand in 2016.  Her love for yoga and traveling has only grown since.   Michele quit teaching elementary school to teach yoga full time to adults and children.  In her free time you will find her traveling the world, practicing yoga in amazing places, with her 7 year old daughter.

Zarah Ajmi

Assistant Operations Manager/ Lead Admin., RYT-800, Yoga Pulse Teacher

Zarah is what some might refer to as a "magical human-being". This mama, of [soon-to-be] 4 kiddos, manages an entire household and keeps the good vibes flowing at Yoga Pulse! Knowledgeable and wise beyond her years, she is always there to help, support, encourage, and provide a positive space for you to authentically exist as you are. When it comes to holding space for others, she goes above and beyond! When she's not making magical aroma therapy blends, helping our clients,  playing Crystal Singing Bowls to align the chakras, teaching Yoga Nidra, and seeking out community projects-- she's a badass mama! Zarah loves to go to the lake and spend time in nature with her children.

She recently hoped a fence to save a child from drowning and was awarded for her courage by the city council. If super-humans exist, Zarah is definitely one of them!
(Zarah is pronounced like "Sarah" but with a 'Z')

Christina Carroll

RYT-200, Yoga Pulse Teacher

"I discovered yoga in 2008 as a means of building strength and increasing flexibility, but in 2015 yoga discovered me as means of healing during a painful season. The impact yoga had in my life was so profound that I was inspired to become a Registered Yoga Teacher and completed my 200 hour in 2016. My philosophy has become: "if you have breath in your lungs then yoga is for you because EVERY. BODY. BENDS." It's my heart to shatter the stigmas of yoga and share my passion through teaching about the many benefits it has physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally on our health and wellbeing. It's important that we understand the power of our breath to destress, find peace and build strength. Connecting your breath to movement helps you to face yourself right where you are and learn to love yourself and embrace your journey as you get to where you want to be. I'm honored to be a part of the YPS Team and share with you the many benefits yoga has to offer both on and off the mat!

Married to my high school sweetheart, mama to 3 amazing teens, worship leader, lover of coffee, sparkling water, gluten free bread, and all things yoga... these are a few of my favorite things!"

Tiffany Weir (YPS Oct. 2016 Feature Teacher)

RYT-500, Yoga Pulse Teacher

I started my yoga journey in 2011 following the behest of my then oncologist.  If you had told me that I was going to be a yogi all these years later I would have laughed in your face, because at that time, I had this convoluted idea that all you did was sit around in linen pants and chant, drink Kombucha and talk about chakra alignment.  It’s funny now, but at that time the idea of yoga scared me.  Ask me about my first hot yoga class if you want the laugh of the century.  Five years later, I am in remission and I couldn’t be happier with my yoga lifestyle.

For three years, I practiced Hatha style yoga at various studios both back east and in the Pacific Northwest.  I’ve competed twice in the USA Yoga Federation state competitions, and I’ve qualified once for the National competition.  In 2012, I decided to yoga around and I found a heated vinyasa studio and fell head over heels in love with flow style yoga.  In 2013, my mentor urged me to go to teacher training, with his help and the help of two other instructor friends, we created a “yoga lab” at our studio and they helped me study and sequence to prepare for my training.  The concept of the “yoga lab” caught fire and became an advanced class following my certification January 2014.

My two loves are teaching and Vinyasa.  In my own practice, I enjoy several different styles of yoga: Vinyasa, core power, Tripsichore, Yin, Hatha, suspended and Ashtanga.  And that’s why I appreciate seeing what Vinyasa can handle.  It’s my passion to put together a flow where there are no ends to postures just beginnings of the next, with as many different style of yoga added in.  Along the way I’ve had the pleasure of practicing and teaching with some incredible yogi mentors that I am proud to say have helped guide me into the teacher I am today, and for that I am ever in their debt.

For the last couple of years I have been desperately searching for a hot studio to call home.  When I applied to Yoga Pulse, I just did it as a hope of being a substitute.  But, within two days I had an interview (and incredibly lovely interview that felt like a conversation between two people who’d known each other for years) and within a week I had a job and a hot yoga home.  I cannot say enough wonderful things about our studio; I am honored and blessed to be a part of such an amazing yoga community.  Thank you for welcoming me with open arms.
